Twenty schoolchildren, 8 others dead in Connecticut massacre


NEWTOWN, Connecticut (Reuters) - Twenty schoolchildren were slaughtered by a heavily armed gunman who opened fire at a suburban elementary school in Connecticut on Friday, ultimately killing at least 27 people including himself in the one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history.

Farooq Abdullah welcomes Rehman Malik's India visit

New Delhi/Bhopal, Dec 14 (ANI): Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday welcomed Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik's visit to India, and hoped that the visa regulation between the two Asian neighbours becomes better. "I think it's a good beginning. Lets hope that the visa regulation becomes better. And people are easily able to come and go and business is increased between the two countries. I think it's a good thing. I think many other things Rehman Malik will be able to talk to the Government of India," Abdullah told mediapersons outside Parliament here.
